What has been going on at the Whitakers?

In January we had the chance to go to Hawaii, Oahu with my brother and his family.

It was really beautiful at the resort we stayed at.

Justin loved the way the fire dancers danced that he started to become one of them.  And still to the date he will do the dance for us.
One of the main reasons we decided to go to Hawaii was to be able to go to the Pro Bowl.  Bob's dream come true.  He is such an avid sport memorabilia collector that he went crazy on us.  He needed to collect as many football players autographs as possible.  He ended up doing a pretty good on his collection and we were able to meet tons of NFL football players because they stayed at our resort.

One of the cool things we got to see was the ship they used in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.  It was docked in the marina right outside our resort.  We could see it right outside of our bedroom window.

Basketball

Robby made the Varsity basketball team this year at Shadow Ridge.  We were so excited for him.  The season is over and he did a really good job towards the end of the season.  He helped his team win a very important game.  Way to go Robby!!

Snow in Vegas

It was pretty cool getting snow in Vegas.  Justin had just woken up and I quickly had him dressed to go outside to play in the snow in the backyard.  At first he was a little taken back and would not go outside but then I showed him it was ok and that he could try and catch the snowflakes on his tongue to eat it.

Justin's 2nd Birthday

I know I am a little behind but I have been pretty busy.  Just like all of us have.  In December Justin turned 2 and we had a small little party to celebrate.  First we met at Tacos El Gordo for lunch with Bob's side of the family and the Mickelsons'.  We all love that place even Justin, he loves eating "tacos".  That was one of his first words that we could really understand what he was asking for.  Then after lunch we all headed back to our house for cake, pinata, and presents!!!  I love having pinatas for the kids on their birthdays.   Justin is so much fun and I think he had a blast at his party!
